Chamber Philharmonic Europe

Founded in 2006 by Leonid Tritus, the Chamber Philharmonic Europe (Kammerphilharmonie Europa) has combined a wide range of origins and experience. Leonid started his career in music at the age of four and became particularly fascinated by percussion instruments and the piano. He furthered his career from an orchestra musician training course, though to collaborating with renowned conductors, establishing festivals and premieres for various composers. From its founding in 2006, Leonid has continued to lead the orchestra on an organisational level.

By encouraging talent of all ages from throughout Europe, the orchestra combines a variety of cultural influences. With a pool of over 60 professional musicians from around 18 nations they can ensure a cross-generational and creative working environment.

We are delighted to welcome an octet to perform for this concert including the following soloists:

Irina Knauer

Irina Knauer was born in a German-Belarusian family of musicians. She started playing the violin aged 4. At the age of 8, she made her international competition debut by performing Berio's Concerto for Violin with orchestra. She studied in Minsk and the St. Petersburg Conservatory. She has participated in numerous masterclasses and festivals around the world. Winner of many international competitions. He has extensive experience playing in both large symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. In 2018, she toured America, Alaska and Canada as first violin with the piano quintet and with the Lincoln Center Stage Company.

Permanent guest musician in the Würth Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Ruhr Orchestra and French Chamber Philharmonic. Played under conductors Yuri Temirkanov, Valeri Gergiev, Misha Kats, Aleksandr Dmitriev, Nikolai Alekseev and Jeffrey.

Performed with Yuri Bashmet, Anna Netrebko, Mischa Mayski, Oksana Volkova, Michael Gantvarg and Joshua Bell. Played many concerts in Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Moldova, Austria, Spain, Italy, USA, Canada , Sweden, Switzerland and Croatia.

She has been leader of the Chamber Philarmonie Europe since 2024.

Cyrill Gussaroff

Cyrill Gussaroff (trumpet) was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia where he received his first trumpet lesson from the famous trumpet player Professor V. Margolin, in whose class he graduated from the Saint-Petersburg Conservatoire with distinction in 2002. He continued his education at the Conservatoires of Hanover and Essen, where he was taught by such influential people as Professor S. Goehtel and Prof. U. Koeller. In his career Mr. Gussaroff has gained awards at international competitions including the International Competition Citta di Porcia, the Dokshitzer Competition Vilnius, the Competition of Calvia Mallorca and the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire International Competition, Moscow. He started his career as a trumpet soloist at the Staatskapella Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg.

Currently he is a soloist with the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra and is an artist of the Orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival. In addition, Cyrill Gussaroff has worked with several different orchestras such as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bochum Symphonie, the Camerata Budapest, the Chamber Philharmonic Europe and the Philharmonika Venezia.
