Description
Step into a world where the strange and the spectacular collide in this vibrant production of Little Shop of Horrors! This cult-favourite musical blends 1960s inspired rock and roll, doo-wop, and Motown with a delightfully dark sense of humour.
Follow Seymour, a shy and unlucky florist working on Skid Row, whose fortunes begin to change when he discovers a mysterious and exotic plant. Fame, fortune, and romance suddenly seem within reach but the plant harbours a sinister secret. Its growing appetite threatens to spiral dangerously out of control. Along the way, you’ll meet a cast of colourful characters, including the sweet but downtrodden Audrey, the sadistic dentist Orin, and a trio of streetwise narrators who guide the story with infectious energy and iconic harmonies.
This production is presented by Up’N’Up Productions, a Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to creating high-quality theatre while giving back to the community. Over 50% of surplus from the show will be donated to charities, supporting causes that make a real difference.
For this production, the chosen charities are Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover and Stars Appeal (Salisbury Hospital’s Charity) in Salisbury. Both are incredible organisations providing vital care and support to those who need it most.
Expect a thrilling, funny, and slightly monstrous night at the theatre where the music keeps you dancing and the plants are anything but ordinary!
