Look inside the new Lights Autumn Season Brochure

With a striking cover designed to grab the attention The Lights Autumn Season brochure is worth a look inside.     Now in its 7th season The Lights is continuing to offer a wide range of events from The Circus of Horrors to Julian Lloyd Webber and the Vienna Festival Ballet.

The front cover image features one of the acts from the Circus of Horrors coming to The Lights in November.    This show features death defying circus acts, blood curdling stunts, a huge uncontrollable cast of Burlesque Beauties complete with flying lunatics and is usually performed in the round, circus tent or large arena space.

Music of all genres will feature this season including The Hamsters playing ZZ Top, U2UK, One Night Of Elvis, Mari Wilson, Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Bon Jovi Experience, Nick Kershaw and of course a visit from Julian Lloyd Webber.     Musical shows include The Motown Show, the fabulous Voulez Vous and the No 1 Christmas Show.

Eric Knowles and his Antique Antics visit early in September when Eric invites the audience to bring along their artefacts for valuation prior to the show.    And following on from the success of the mountaineer Simon Yates The Lights is pleased to welcome two more top British Mountaineers Kenton Cool and Ian Parnell to share their high altitude tales of pushing human endurance to the limit as part of their daily lives.

During the October half term children and families can enjoy “How the Giraffe Got Its Neck” and in November The Lights welcomes the popular Oddsocks Theatre company and their production “Les Miserables, The Panto”.    A Christmas treat for all the family will be the Tall Stories Theatre Company’s show “The Gruffalo’s Child in early December.

Comedians Stephen Merchant, Jeff Green, Ed Byrne and Simon Day should keep everyone laughing through the season and as usual The Lights will be hired by local groups such as the Andover Musical and Operatic Society for their run of The Pyjama Game and Christmas Concerts by both the Andover Light Orchestra and Test Valley Brass.

Look out for the regular monthly Acoustic and Comedy nights in the Arena, and new for this season a local band night in November where local talent will get the opportunity to perform.    The line up for the November show includes The Have a Go Heroes, Great Walls, The Torn Off Strips and In Darklight.
