The Hamsters live at The
Lights
This guitar, bass and drums trio, long
established as a premier UK blues-rock attraction, have performed
over 3,700 concerts in 20 years. Over the years they’ve performed
with artists such as Eric Clapton, Alison Moyet, Doctor Feelgood,
Walter Trout and the late, great gentleman of British Blues, Alexis
Korner.
They’ve a mailing list exceeding
20,000 and a website which receives 1000 visitors a day. Although
primarily playing their own brand of rootsy Rock and Blues, they’re
also widely regarded as the UK’s leading interpreters of the music
of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top.
Originally forming for their own
amusement the Hamsters enjoy the irony of being an aggressive band
with a cuddly name. Although serious about what they do, they don't
take themselves too seriously.
Catch them at The Lights on Thursday 1 March. Tickets are
£12.50,£13.50,£10.50 available from the Box Office on 01264 368368
or on line at http://www.thelights.org.uk/

The GameKeeper at The Lights
Forest Forge theatre company makes a
welcome return to The Lights this month to perform The Gamekeeper.
Their productions are a mixture of devised shows, existing scripts
and commissioned new plays such as The Gamekeeper.

alone in a run down cottage in the middle of the forest. His
solitude is shattered when he finds a young runaway hiding in his
bath. Youth and age, the modern world and old fashioned principals,
and the tensions between the countryside and the city all join
together in this hugely entertaining clash of cultures! A sizzling
new play suitable for ages 12 +.
If you enjoyed The Night Before
Christmas back in December make sure to reserve your tickets for
this show on Saturday 24 February. Tickets are £7,£8, £6 available
from the Box Office on 01264 368368.

a number of flying objects to take part in a classic countdown.

shine and really raise the temperature in the dance studio. If
